Sharps and Flats
The sharps and flats of a piano are the black keys. The sharps come after a certain note, and the flats come before a certain note. For example: G sharp is the black key directly after G. However, G flat is the black key that comes directly before G.
Chords
Chords are just more than one note played at a time. For example: Instead of playing C, E, and G separately, the chord of C, E, and G are played at the same time.
The chord on paper
This is what the chord looks like. It will seem to, looking vertically, have notes piled on top of it, and you will play these notes all together.
